Press # for the transaction list and select ‘correction’
Enter supervisor ID and press enter
Enter supervisor PIN and press enter
Enter the authorisation code** and press enter
Pass the POS device to the customer who can either insert or swipe his
or her card (the card must be the same card as the original transaction)
The screen will display the transaction for the card to be corrected
If prompted, the customer must enter his or her PIN followed by enter
The POS device will return to the idle screen
Once the correction is complete, the POS device will print a customer and
merchant copy of the receipt; the customer must sign the merchant copy
Press # for the transaction list and select ‘purchase’ to initiate a new purchase

Note: the terminal will print a receipt conrming whether the transaction is approved
or declined; the customer must sign the receipt. Keep the merchant copy
*Corrections apply to debit cards only and must be done immediately after
the initial transaction
**The authorisation code is the number that appears on the merchant copy of the
original purchase receipt
