Technical specifications of the Source function on
OTDR module for T-BERD/MTS-2000/4000 V2
• Laser Class 1
• Wavelength lasers at 25°C, depending on the wavelengths available in the
module.
The wavelengths available for the source are the same as those available for the
OTDR module (see OTDR specifications desired)
• Spectral bandwidth: 5 nm RMS typical (2.5 Ghz for the DWDM Module)
• Stability: 0.3 dBm
± 0.05 dB @25°C over 8 hours after 20 minutes warm-up time. for MA2 and
MP2 Modules
± 0.1dB @25°C over 8 hours after 20 minutes warm-up time. for MA3
Modules.
Output level
• - 3.5 dBm typical for continuous signal (CW); 0 dBm for the DWDM Module
• modulated mean level: - 6.5 dBm typical; -3 dBm for the DWDM Module
Emission mode
• Continuous signal (CW), not available for the 1650 nm wavelength on the MA3
and MP2 OTDR Module.
• Signal including lambda information for the power meter (Autoλ).
• Modulated signal to identify the fiber (at 270 Hz/330 Hz/1kH/2kHz).
• Wavelengths activated one after the other (TwinTest mode; not available for
DWDM Module).
