Do not disassemble, puncture or incinerate the battery.
Do not allow the battery terminals to contact metal or conductive surfaces. This
will cause a spark sufficient to ignite fuel vapors which may result in fire and
injury.
Do not make direct contact between the postive and negative terminals as this
will cause a high current flow, creating sparking and/or a possible fire hazard.
Reversing the connections will damage the charger, necessitating replacment.
Ensuretherechargesocketissecurelyheldinsidetheprotectionboot.Only
remove the recharge socket from the boot when charging.
Take care when adjusting the handles to ensure the battery harness is not
pinched or severed inside the clamps for the upper handle.
•ThebatteryisaNickelMetalHydride(NIMH)batteryandisrechargeable.The
lawnmower is provided with a specific charger for the battery and also has a conventional
recoilstarterwithapulltypestartercord.Onlyusethechargersuppliedforrechargingas
alternative chargers may damage the battery and void the warranty.
•Beginthemowingseasonwiththebatteryfullycharged.Duringperiodsofnon-use,
thebatterychargewillreduce.Itisrecommendedthatthebatterybechargedeverysix
months when not in use.
•Thebatterycanbecontinuouslychargedwhileinstorage,forupto6weekswiththe
suppliedcharger.Shouldthisbeexceededtheconditionwilldeteriorate.
•Toavoiddeep-dischargedamageorinconvenientchargingpreparation,fullyrechargethe
batteryforaminimumof10hourswhenthemowerfirstshowssignsthatthepowerlevel
isinsufficienttostartthemower.DONOTpersiststartinganengineinpoorcondition,or
with a low charge battery pack.
