Use ventilation elements for controlled ventilation of rooms, so as to
avoid negative pressure (see pages 4 and 14).
Install extract and expelled air lines in the immediate vicinity of the
heat pump either horizontally or at a slight angle to the extract cover.
This way the condensate is routed via the heat pump to the sewer
system (see page 21).
Insulate extract air lines where they run through unheated rooms.
To prevent condensate forming always insulate expelled air lines.
To prevent cold air entering lines that draw expelled air outside when
the system is not in use in winter, install low resistance check valves
(on site).
Install ventilation pipes, wall outlets and connections with the
Vitocal 160-A (see page 20) using anti-vibration mounts.
To prevent flow noise and increased energy use through pressure
losses, never reduce the diameters of the pipes directly connected
to the heat pump. A reduction may only be made if the air flow is
split, e.g. via tees.
The max. permissible total pressure drop Δp
total
for all components
incl. wall outlets in the pipework is 95 Pa.
