&
The Vitopend can be installed for balanced fl ue operation inde-
pendent of the size and ventilation of the boiler room.
&
It may, for exa mple, be installed in rooms with personnel traffic
or in accommodation rooms, in ancill ary rooms without ventila-
tion, in cupboards and recesses without maintaining minimum
clearances to combustible c omponents as well as in attic rooms
(pitched attics and ancillary rooms) where the balanced flue
pipe can be directly routed through the roof.
&
The installation location must be safe from the risk of frost.
&
The maximum ambient temperatu re of the system should not
exceed 45 °C.
&
Provide a drain i n the boiler room for the blow-off line of the
safety valve and, if required, for the condensate trap of the
balanced flue system.
&
Electrical interlocks for extractors (extractor hoods, etc.) are not
required with balanced flue operation.
Installation for open flue operation
As equipment of type B
11BS
is being installed, the boiler room is
subject to the following requirements to TRGI '86/96:
&
Avoid air contamination through halogenated hydrocarbons (e.
g. as in sprays, paints, solvents and cleaning agents)
&
Avoid very dusty conditions
&
Avoid high levels of humidity
&
Protect against frost and ensure good ventil ation
&
Provide a drain i n the boiler room for the blow-off line of the
safety valve.
&
The maximum ambient temperatu re of the system should not
exceed 45 °C.
&
Secure the Vitopend near the chimney stack/duct.
&
In rooms where air contamination from halogenated hydrocar-
bons is to be expected, operate the boiler only in bala nced f lue
mode.
If these instructions are not observed, any consequenti al losses
directly related to any of these causes are excluded from our war-
ranty.

at the top and bottom
of the same w all)
