Flue gas connection

The Vitopend can be operated in open flue mode (equipment
type B
22
)
Approval to EN 297.
&
The flue gas connection to the chimney is made via a single wall
flue pipe.
&
Gas fired combustion equipment must be connected with the
shortest possi ble pipe to t he chimney stack on the same floor as
where it is installed.
&
The chimney cross-section must be at least the same as the
Vitopend flue outlet.
&
The chimney cross-section must be c alculated in accordance
with E N 13384.
Take the f ollowing measures, if the calculation results i n an
awareness that the actual temperature will constantly fall below
the dew point of the flue gases:
– Thermal insulation of the flue outlet up to the entry into the
chimney (min. 25 mm thick).
– Thermal insulation of the chimney, e.g. in unheated rooms or
in an attic.
– Draught stabiliser (not if several devices utilise the same
chimney).
– Ensure that short fl ue gas routes are used i n the installation.
