Overview

This document describes the VIVIDSTORM S PRO Electric Tab-Tension Floor Screen, a projection screen designed for optimal viewing experiences.

Function Description

The VIVIDSTORM S PRO is an electric, tab-tensioned floor screen primarily used for displaying projected images. It is designed to be raised and lowered electrically, offering convenience and a clean aesthetic when not in use. The tab-tensioning system ensures a flat and smooth screen surface, which is crucial for high-quality projection, especially with ultra-short throw projectors. The screen is controlled via a manual switch on the device or through remote controls (both RF and IR). It also features adjustable black borders to customize the projection area.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Screen Type: Electric Tab-Tension Floor Screen
  • Control: Manual Switch, RF Remote Control, IR Remote Control
  • Motor: Tubular motor with temperature control and overheating protection mechanism. If the screen runs continuously for 1.5 minutes, the motor will rest for more than 30 minutes to prevent overheating. If the overheat protection mechanism activates, turn off the power and wait 30 minutes to 2 hours for the motor to cool down.
  • Battery for Remote Control: Coin/button cell battery (CR2032, 3V).
  • Projector Compatibility: Primarily designed for Ultra Short Throw (UST) laser projectors with a throw ratio ≤ 0.4. Other projectors may result in absorbed or blocked projection light due to the screen's structure.
  • Screen Material: The screen material is delicate and should not be touched directly to avoid damage. It is not waterproof on the front surface.
  • Power Supply: Requires a stable current and the provided power cord. Ensure the correct voltage for your region.

Usage Features

  • Placement: The screen should always be placed horizontally. Avoid inclined or vertical positions.
  • Installation:
    • Ground Installation: Recommended for two people to lift and place horizontally. Ensure the floor is clean and dry. The screen has four bottom supports that can be rotated and fixed to the ground with screws for stability.
    • Wall Installation: An optional wall hanger (purchased separately) can be used. Requires marking a horizontal line and hole positions on the wall, then fixing the wall bracket. Two people are needed to lift and place the screen onto the rack.
  • Operation:
    • Power On: Plug the power cord into a correct power outlet. A "beep" sound for 1.5 seconds indicates power-on.
    • Manual Switch: Located on the left side of the screen shell, it controls "up / stop / down" functions.
    • RF Remote Control: Works when the screen is hidden or installed in a slot, without needing to aim at the IR receiver.
    • IR Remote Control: Requires connection to the IR receiver and aiming the remote at the receiver head. The IR remote is black and has an infrared signal lamp on top.
    • Screen Height Limit Setting (Black Border Down): The highest position is factory preset. To lower the black border, open the small rubber cover on the lower left, insert a debugging rod into the yellow adjusting hole, and slowly rotate clockwise (one circle adjusts height by about 2cm). After each rotation, press "down" then "up" on the remote to test the new height. Repeat if necessary. If the hole is hard to find, use a light source behind the screen.
    • Screen Height Limit Setting (Black Border Up): Applicable only if the black border was previously adjusted too low. Press "up" on the remote to raise the screen to its highest point. Then, insert the debugging rod into the adjusting hole and rotate counter-clockwise (one circle adjusts height by about 2cm). Press "up" to set the new adjusted height. Do not exceed the original highest point to avoid damage.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Read the user guide carefully.
    • Use only manufacturer-authorized accessories and the provided power cord.
    • Handle with care during transportation to prevent collision damage.
    • Place the device close to the power socket.
    • Do not place heavy objects on the power cord or screen.
    • Use the power cord correctly to avoid electric shock, short circuit, or fire.
    • Do not disassemble the screen due to strong V-spring support, which poses risks.
    • Keep away from fire sources and high-temperature equipment.
    • Disconnect power during heavy rain, wind, thunder, lightning, or for long periods of non-use, transportation, or maintenance.
    • Do not operate the power plug with wet hands or feet.
    • Do not use if there is obvious damage to any parts.
    • Ensure no obstacles or debris are on top of the screen when raising it, and do not put your head on top.
    • Keep the product out of reach of children.
    • Do not put sundries inside the cover.
    • The remote control battery is hazardous if swallowed; keep away from children.
    • Users should provide reasonable protection against RF energy interference in residential/commercial buildings.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning Requirements:
    • Use a soft brush to gently clean the screen surface along the grain direction.
    • Do not use coarse cloth, soft cloth, gauze, or wet cloth to wipe the screen surface, as it may cause damage.
    • Brush away impurities along the left and right direction of the grain; do not wipe up and down or round the screen.
    • The backside of the curtain can be wiped with cloth, but ensure it is dry before closing, as the front surface is not waterproof.
    • Do not touch the screen directly by hand or with hard/sharp objects.
    • Avoid persistent or vigorous cleaning to prevent scratches.
    • Turn off the screen when not in use.
    • This product is not waterproof and is only suitable for indoor use.
    • Do not use acetone, benzene, alcohol, or other organic solvents, as they will cause permanent damage.
  • Screen Performance Notes:
    • Slight tilting of the cover ends after use is normal and does not affect viewing.
    • Regular creases on the screen surface after opening are normal and will gradually disappear over time.
    • Minor black spots, white spots, stains, or other impurities within the allowable range are considered normal and not product quality problems.
    • The white screen is the quality standard for reflection. The black screen is for absorbing ambient light, and minor black marks/white spots on it are normal manufacturing phenomena that do not affect viewing quality.
  • Warranty:
    • VIVIDSTORM products have a 2-year warranty for defects caused by the product itself or design.
    • Motors have a 5-year warranty, provided they are complete and untampered.
    • User negligence, improper operation, or unauthorized repairs are not covered.
    • After-sales technical support is provided, with a 24-hour response time (excluding holidays).
    • Keep the original packaging for returns or replacements.
    • Damage from incorrect installation, voltage mismatch, improper use, unauthorized modification, poor environment, secondary transportation, natural disasters (flood, fire), or human factors are not covered.
