First Time Use

Charging the Baery

The VZ60023BT Speaker has a built-in, rechargeable lithium-polymer baery. To avoid damage,

do not aempt to remove the baery. The full performance of the baery is achieved aer two

or three charging-discharging cycles. Charge the baery fully before ﬁrst use.

1. Connect the USB cable to the speaker.

2. Connect to the correct outlet (wall, computer, car charger).

3. When the charger is connected to the speaker, the red indicator light will turn on.

Note: Charging the baery fully may take up to 2 hours.

4. When the baery is fully charged, the red indicator light will turn oﬀ. Disconnect the charger

from the speaker and the outlet. The speaker is ready for use.

Note: Overcharging could reduce the life of the baery. A charged baery will lose its capacity

if it is not used on a regular basis.

Important!

Ensure that the baery is fully charged if the speaker is not used for a long period of me. To

avoid a complete discharge of the baery, charge the speaker at least every six(6) months.

Baery Notes

• A fully charged baery provides up to six(6) hours of talk-me, four(4) hours music playback,

and up to ten(10) hours of standby me. Talk and standby mes vary depending on mobile

phones or other compable Bluetooth® devices, sengs, styles, etc.

• When the baery power is low, the speaker will beep every 30 seconds.

• When using with your iPhone, an addional baery meter feature will display the remaining

baery on your phone’s touch screen.

The Vivitar VZ60023BT Bluetooth Speaker is designed to provide high-quality wireless audio for both music listening and phone conversations. It connects seamlessly with Bluetooth®-enabled mobile devices and other Bluetooth V3.0+EDR compatible devices supporting HSP, HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP profiles.

Function Description

The speaker features a built-in microphone, an indicator LED, and several control buttons for easy operation. These controls include:

Previous Track / Volume -: Used to decrease the sound level or return to the previous track.
Power / Play / Pause / Answer: A multi-function button for turning the speaker on/off, playing/pausing music, and answering phone calls.
Next Track / Volume +: Used to increase the sound level or skip to the next track.
Charging Port: For connecting the USB charging cable.

Usage Features

First Time Use and Charging:

The speaker comes with a built-in, rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. For optimal performance, it's recommended to fully charge the battery before its first use. The charging process involves connecting the USB cable to the speaker and then to a suitable power outlet (wall, computer, or car charger). A red indicator light will turn on during charging and turn off once the battery is fully charged, which typically takes up to 2 hours. Overcharging should be avoided as it can reduce battery life.

Pairing with a Phone:

Place the speaker near a Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phone.
Press and hold the POWER button for three seconds until the indicator LED flashes blue and red, indicating pairing mode.
On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for devices.
Select "Acrylic speaker" from the list of available devices.
If prompted, enter the PIN code "0000" and confirm.
Once successfully paired, the speaker will automatically connect to your phone and enter standby mode, with the indicator blinking blue every four seconds. If pairing is not completed within 10 minutes, the speaker will automatically turn off, requiring you to repeat the pairing steps.

General Operation (Turning ON/OFF):

Turning ON: Press and hold the POWER button for three seconds. If previously paired, the speaker will automatically reconnect to your mobile device.
Turning OFF: Press and hold the POWER button for five seconds. The speaker will automatically turn off after approximately 10 minutes if it's not connected to a mobile device.

Music Playback:

Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button once to play or pause music. Double-pressing this button will switch the LED mode while music is playing.
Volume Up / Next Track: Press the Next Track / Volume + button to increase the sound level. Press and hold to skip to the next track.
Volume Down / Previous Track: Press the Previous Track / Volume - button to decrease the sound level. Press and hold to return to the previous track.

Phone Functionality:

Redial: In standby mode, double-press the ANSWER button to redial the last called number.
Answering a Call: Short press the ANSWER button when an incoming call rings.
Rejecting an Incoming Call: Press and hold the ANSWER button for two seconds to reject a call.
Transferring a Call: Press and hold the Next Track / Volume + button for two seconds to transfer a call between the phone and the speaker.
Ending a Call: Short press the ANSWER button to end an active call.

Battery Notes:

A fully charged battery provides approximately six hours of talk-time, four hours of music playback, and up to ten hours of standby time. These times may vary based on the connected mobile phone, Bluetooth® device settings, and usage style. When the battery power is low, the speaker will emit a beep every 30 seconds. For iPhone users, an additional battery meter feature will display the remaining battery level on the phone's touch screen.

Maintenance Features

To ensure the longevity of the battery, it is crucial to charge the speaker at least every six months if it is not used for extended periods. This prevents a complete discharge of the battery, which can reduce its overall lifespan.

Keep the speaker away from humidity, water, and other liquids. If it gets wet, do not operate it to prevent electrical shock, explosion, or damage to the device or user.
Do not place or store the product near heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators, stoves, or any other heat-producing apparatus, as this can cause an explosion, degrade performance, or reduce battery life.
Do not modify, repair, or disassemble the device, especially the battery, as this will void the warranty and may pose a risk of fire or chemical burns.
Use only manufacturer-approved chargers and unplug the device when not in use for long periods or during lightning storms.

Warranty Information:

The warranty is non-transferable and covers defects in material or workmanship under normal usage for one year from the date of purchase. It does not cover damages or malfunctions resulting from physical abuse, improper installation, modification, unauthorized repair, accidents, or normal wear and tear of consumable components like batteries. To claim warranty service, a copy of the original bill of sale, a detailed description of the problem, and return contact information are required.
