TIMING GEARS AND CYLINDER HEAD

Remove timing gear case, crankshaft pulley and
drive belt
Slacken belt as follows :
slacken n ut for drive belt tensi oner
stretch belt by hand
retighten
nut
Importl nt
To pr event damage . do not rotate crankshah or c amshah
when gear belt is removed as pistons may stri ke valves.
Remove rocker cover and cylinder head
Unscrew screws in sequence shown adjacent.

Cylinderhead is madeol aluminum. To avoid damage ~ shotJld
be placed on WO<XIen supports when removed.

Remove :
- water pump
- pipe to heater
