Remove rings from pistons
Use piston ring pliers.

Disassemble connecting rods from pistons
Check that pistons and connecting rads are marked
prior to dismantling.

Cleans and inspect pistons
Remove all traces of carbon. Scrape out grooves with
e.g. an old , ground piston ring.
Check for:
damage
signs
of wear
cracks

Cheek ring to groove clearanee
Use a feeler gauge
Upper compression
