AftertreatmentDEFtankpositionednearthestandarddieseltank,plusaAftertreatment
DEFpump,AftertreatmentDEFDosingunitandSCRcatalyst.Theadvantageofusing
DEFisthatitenablestheenginetouselessEGR--andhigheroxygenlevels--forbetter
combustion,whilemeetingtheEPAnear-zeroNOxemissionsrequirementof0.2g/hp-hr
NOx.ByusingDEF,weavoidthedisadvantagesofincreasingEGRtomassivelevels.This
resultsinbetterfueleconomyfromyourVOLVOengine.
