bearing seats,
oilways etc). Polish sealing surface for
coolant pump O-ring.

Check all
parts for damage and wear.

Measure crankshaft
Use a micrometer to measure out-af-round and taper
of bearing journals. Measure at several points.
Max
out·of-round = 0.003 mm (0.0001 in)
Max taper
= 0.005 mm (0.0002 in).

Measure cylinder bore
Use a dial bore indicator (50-100 mm "" 1.95-3.95 in).
Measure diameter A (crosswise) and B
(lengthwise) at
points "1", "2" and "3".
Bare must not deviate by more than 0.04 mm (0.0016
in) at any two points.
