What to do if my Vornado iControl Heater fails to power on?
    • R
      Robert RobertsAug 10, 2025
First, make sure the power cord is properly plugged into an electrical outlet. If it still doesn't turn on, check your household circuit breaker or ground fault interrupter and reset it, or replace the fuse if necessary. Overheating can also cause this issue, so allow the Automatic Safety Shut-Off to reset. If none of these steps work and you suspect damage, stop using the heater, unplug it, and contact Consumer Service for assistance.

Ensure that your Vornado Heater is set to High Heat and the thermostat is at the highest temperature. Close all doors and windows in the room to keep the heat in. It may take several minutes for the unit to fully circulate the heat throughout the room.

If your Vornado Heater powers on but isn't producing heat, power it off and unplug it. Locate the black disk on the bottom of the unit and push it in 4-5 times to ensure it's not stuck. Place the unit on a flat surface, making sure the power cord is not underneath it. Plug the unit back in, power it on, and set it to the highest heat setting.
