3. Screw in the cartridge by hand. When the gasket contacts the seal surface,
tighten the cartridge firmly by hand.
NOTICE: Do not use a filter wrench to tighten the cartridge. Doing so can over-
tighten the cartridge and damage the seal surface.
4. After replacing the cartridge, run the engine for approximately five minutes and
check for oil leaks at the seal.
5. Wipe the filter area clean.
The procedure for replacing the filter is complete.
