damage (severe or minor) and the occurrence of injury (definitely occurs or has the potential to
occur) when the warning is ignored:
DANGER!
Indicates a situation which, when not avoided, results in death or severe injury.
WARNING!
Indicates a situation which, when not avoided, has the potential to result in death or
severe injury; and/or severe property damage.
CAUTION!
Indicates a situation which, when not avoided, results or has the potential to result in
minor injury; and/or minor property damage.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:
Ensure all Local, State, and Federal Laws and Codes including health and safety guidelines are
met when installing Waterlogic Equipment. Only qualified service technicians should attempt
installation and service of Waterlogic Equipment. Always read the entire operating instructions
before using the appliance and save these instructions for future use.
DANGER! This product can cause death or severe injury if incorrectly operated, installed or
maintained. The installation, maintenance, sanitizing and any repair must be performed by
qualified persons trained by Waterlogic International or their approved distributors only. Do
not remove any panel or cover to protect against electrical shock and exposure to UV
radiation.
DANGER! ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Always use a dedicated and properly grounded
outlet. Unit should be protected by ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) or residual current
device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA. Use only
Waterlogic supplied power cord. Never use extension cords or power strips to connect unit.
Do not use if the power supply cord is damaged. Always unplug from power supply prior to
servicing.
WARNING! AUTHORIZED USE ONLY. This appliance is to be used for its intended purpose as
described in this manual. Untrained individuals who use this manual assume the risk of any
resulting property damage or personal injury. This appliance can’t be used by children and
persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience.
WARNING! UV-C EMITTER (UV LAMP). This appliance contains a UV-C emitter (UV Lamp).
UV-C radiation may, even in small doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin. Unintended use or
damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. Never operate
the UV-C emitter if damaged or removed from enclosure. Do not touch or look directly into
the faucet.

Overview

The Waterlogic WL3 IT is a water treatment system available in both counter-top and tower models, designed to provide cold, hot, and ambient water. It is certified to rigorous NSF and UL Standards, including UL399 for drinking water coolers, CSA C22.2 No. 120 for refrigeration, and is BPA-free. The system also meets NSF/ANSI 372 for lead content, CSA B483.1 for drinking water treatment, and NSF/ANSI-55 Class A for ultraviolet microbiological water treatment systems, indicating its effectiveness in disinfecting microbiologically contaminated water. It also conforms to NSF P231/US EPA Guide Standard and Protocol for Microbiological Purifiers. The WL350 model specifically includes an FT-0063-IL one-micron CBC filter (including FT-0064 filter element) certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for Chlorine, Taste, and Odor Reduction, and NSF/ANSI-53 for Lead, Cyst, and Asbestos reduction, which must remain installed to maintain these certifications. The WL3 IT is also Energy Star certified and Waterlogic is ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring quality management.

Function Description:

The WL3 IT system dispenses cold, hot, and ambient water. The hot water selection requires a double-tap and hold until a red light flashes, with a 2-second delay before dispensing, as a child safeguard. An "Extra Hot" water option is available by pressing and holding the hot dispense icon for 10 seconds, which will cause the LED to flash slowly until the water reaches the extra hot temperature. If the user decides not to wait for extra hot water, they can double-tap and hold the hot dispense icon to dispense regular hot water from the hot tank without canceling the extra hot request. The system incorporates BioCote® Anti-Microbial Protection on plastic, silicon, and painted surfaces around dispensing areas and the drip tray to inhibit microbial growth, odors, and staining. It features a large dispense area with a recessed faucet (9.25 inches high) to prevent cross-contamination. Leak prevention is enhanced by an extra solenoid, providing redundant protection. In-Tank UV Purification (Firewall™ Technology) prevents biofilm growth within the stainless steel cold tank.

Usage Features:

The WL3 IT is intended for indoor household use only. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or ambient air temperatures outside the 2°C to 37°C (35°F to 100°F) range. Adequate clearance (minimum 2 inches on all surfaces, 4 inches in environments above 27°C/80°F) is required for proper heat dissipation. The unit must be connected to a potable water supply and should not be used with microbiologically unsafe water without prior disinfection. A dedicated and properly grounded outlet is required, protected by a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) or residual current device (RCD) not exceeding 30mA. Only Waterlogic-supplied power cords should be used, and extension cords or power strips are prohibited. The unit is heavy and requires two people or material handling equipment for transport. It must be installed on a firm, flat, and level surface and secured if necessary to prevent tipping.

Maintenance Features:

The WL3 IT comes with an Energy Saver feature activated by default, which turns off the hot tank heater after 3 hours of inactivity. The hot tank will reheat within 10 minutes after exiting energy saver mode. This feature can be disabled via dipswitch #2 (refer to page 60 of the manual). The unit must be completely drained before storing to prevent stagnation and microbiological contamination. Sanitization is required before use to eliminate potential contaminants. Only qualified service technicians trained by Waterlogic International or approved distributors should perform installation, maintenance, sanitizing, and repairs. Removing any panel or cover is prohibited to protect against electrical shock and UV radiation exposure. In case of leaks, the water supply valve should be immediately isolated, and a service representative contacted. The manual emphasizes the importance of using a water pressure regulator, as Waterlogic is not responsible for injury or damage caused by excessive water pressure. Input pressure should be 40-60 psi. UV-stabilized supply lines are recommended, and feed water should be ambient or cold (below 37°C/100°F) to prevent damage to treatment components. Water block devices and external leak detectors are strongly recommended.
