ASSEMBLY
Remove the machine and contents from the carton. Be sure the carton is empty before

PROTECTIVE GUARD
CAUTION
Risk of injury! On the underside of the protective guard there is a sharp blade designed to cut the
thread. Remove the transportation protection before operating.
Place the machine with the back facing you. Place the edging wheel bracket over the spool (Fig
1). Rotate the edging wheel bracket anti-clockwise until can been moved no further (Fig 2).
Slide the guard over the spool (Fig 3).
Line up the relevant fixing holes and in the lower left hole, insert the Cross-Recess Head Screw
M4x25 until secure (Fig 4). Insert 3x Self-Tapping Screw ST4.2x15 into the lower right & two
upper fixing holes (Fig 5 & 6). Carefully peel off the protection cover over the cutting blade.
WARNING!
Never use the Line Trimmer unless the safety guard is correctly fitted.
