Why WEICHAI Engine fails to start?

      Angela MaciasNov 19, 2025
If your WEICHAI Engine fails to start, several factors could be responsible. First, ensure that the fuel tank isn't empty and the fuel tank cock is open; if not, refill the tank and open the cock. A clogged fuel pipeline or fuel filter can also prevent starting; in this case, dismount and clean or replace them. Air in the fuel system can be another culprit; bleed the fuel system and tighten all fuel pipe connections. Other potential issues include a defective injection pump or incorrect injection timing, which would require checking the fuel feed pump and injection pump, and adjusting the injection timing. Also, check for no injection or poor characteristics of spray, and clean and lap nozzle needle and body in pair, then readjust nozzle opening pressure. In cold conditions, the ambient te...

What causes abnormal noise in WEICHAI Engine?
    • J
      Julie RobbinsDec 1, 2025
Abnormal noise in a WEICHAI Engine can indicate several underlying issues. Engine detonation with a clear knocking noise in the cylinder may require readjusting the injection timing. Delayed combustion, indicated by backfire in the exhaust pipe, also suggests readjusting the injection timing. A thudding noise could mean the clearance between the piston and cylinder liner is too big, requiring a check, repair, and possible replacement of the piston and liner. A low, heavy pounding noise could stem from excessive clearance between the crankshaft and main bearing, necessitating a check, repair, and possible replacement of the main bearing or thrust plate. Other noises can point to issues like excessive clearance between the crankpin and bearing, the piston pin and connecting rod bushing, or t...
