  Undercutting in your WELDTECH Welding System can occur for several reasons. If the welding current is too high, reduce it. Shorten an excessively long welding arc. Ensure the electrode angle is at least 45° to the vertical face. Adjust joint preparation for better electrode manipulation. Use a smaller gauge electrode if the current one is too large. Pause at the weave's edge to allow weld metal build-up. Finally, confirm the power source is set to STICK (MMA) mode, not MIG (GMAW).

Excessive travel speed of the electrode requires a reduction. Scale or dirt on the joint surface requires cleaning before welding.
