Why is my WellSoft Water Dispenser not producing soft water?

  If your WellSoft Water Dispenser isn't producing soft water, here are a few things to check: Make sure the bypass valve is in the Service position, not the Bypass position. Verify that the appliance is plumbed correctly. If there has been an extended power outage, reset the time of day. It's also possible that the water hardness has increased, so re-test the water and enter a new setting number. Finally, check if the appliance is metering water; flow should be indicated with water usage.

  If your WellSoft Water Dispenser isn't producing soft water after regeneration, several issues could be the cause. First, check the brine cabinet for salt and add some if it's empty. Secondly, sediment in the brine cabinet might be blocking the brine line or air check/draw tube; in this case, remove the brine line and air check/draw tube and flush them with clean water, clean the injector assembly, and clear any sediment from the brine cabinet. Also, a plugged flow control can cause this issue; remove the brine piston housing and clear any debris from the flow control. A pinched, frozen, or restricted drain line can also be the cause; straighten, thaw, or unclog the drain line.
