      First, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Then, make sure the key is fully inserted into the console. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped. Wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

      The walking belt might be slowing down because of the surge suppressor or overtightened belt. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specifications described on page 10. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the allen wrench to turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 5 to 7 cm (2 to 3 in.) off the walking platform. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.

      The treadmill might be turning off during use due to a tripped circuit breaker. Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. If it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and then plug it back in. Finally, remove and reinsert the key fully into the console.

      Remove the key from the console and unplug the power cord. Locate the Reed Switch and the Magnet. Ensure the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. If necessary, loosen the Screw, move the Reed Switch slightly, and then retighten the Screw.

      To correct the squeaking, you'll need a small amount of white marine grease. Apply a thin layer of white marine grease to the outer surface of the Resistance Cone.
