WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
Do not try to light any water heater.
Do not touch any electrical switch.
Do not use any phone in your building.
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department. Installation and service must be provided by a qualified installer,
service agency, or the gas supplier.

      If you're not getting hot water from your Westinghouse Water Heater, make sure the unit has power by restoring electrical power to it. Then, check if the water heater is turned ON by pressing and holding the Power button. Also, make sure the gas supply valve is open. If an error code is flashing on the display panel, refer to the Diagnostic and Error Codes section in this manual.

      If the water temperature from your Westinghouse Water Heater is not hot enough, ensure the faucet is open enough to draw at least 0.6 gallons (2.3L) per minute through the water heater by opening the faucet to allow more water flow. Also, adjust the outlet water temperature and refer to the procedure in this manual. If an error code is flashing on the display panel, refer to the Diagnostic and Error Codes section in this manual.

      If nothing appears on the display control panel and no other water heater components are operating on your Westinghouse Water Heater, ensure the service switch and/or circuit breaker to the water heater is turned ON. Troubleshoot and correct the power supply to the manual switch if there is no 120V at the service switch. Turn ON the manual power switch inside the water heater cabinet if it is turned off. Correct wiring inside the water heater cabinet using the wiring diagram in the installation manual. Replace the fuse with the proper part found in the replacement part section of this manual. If fuse blows again, recheck the wiring per diagram.

      If you have no water from your Westinghouse Water Heater, check if the water supply valve is shut off at the meter and open the closed supply valve. Also, check if the water supply valve near the unit is open. If the water pipe is frozen, turn OFF the unit, close all water valves and the gas valve, and contact an authorized service technician. If an error code is flashing (leak detected), refer to error code information and contact an authorized service technician.

      If it takes a long time for hot water to flow from your Westinghouse Water Heater, allow time for the cold water already in the pipes to flow from the faucet if the faucet is some distance from the water heater. Have recirculation valves and/or plumbing return line(s) installed and program the unit for recirculation mode.

      If you hear a fan running on your Westinghouse Water Heater when it is not operating: * The fan continues to operate after the burner shuts off to clear the exhaust vent of combustion gases. This is normal operation – no action is required. * The fan may run to help prevent freezing. Protect the water heater from freezing temperatures or shut off and drain the unit.
