Overview

This document describes the Whirlpool Single Split Air Conditioner, available in various models including AMC 990, AMC 991, AMC 992, AMC 993, AMC 994, AMC 996, and AMC 998, with some models featuring INVERTER technology and using R410A gas.

Function Description:

The air conditioner is designed for both cooling and heating, providing a comfortable indoor environment. In cooling mode, it absorbs heat from indoor air and discharges it outdoors, lowering the room temperature. Its cooling capacity decreases with rising outdoor temperatures. An anti-freeze function protects the unit by stopping the compressor if the indoor heat exchanger temperature drops to 0°C or below during low-temperature cooling. In heating mode, the unit absorbs heat from outdoor air and transfers it indoors, increasing the room temperature. Heating capacity decreases with a reduction in outdoor temperatures. This system is designed for rapid indoor temperature increase. For extremely low outdoor temperatures, it is recommended to use additional heating equipment. The unit also features an automatic defrost function, which activates when the outdoor heat exchanger frosts due to low outdoor temperature and high humidity, suspending heating for 6-8 to 10 minutes. During defrost, both indoor and outdoor fans stop, an indicator light flashes, and mist may flow from the indoor unit, which is normal. Heating resumes automatically after defrost. The unit also offers a dehumidify mode.
