Soft Close Door
Hinge Assembly With
Oil-Filled Cylinder
Gold Series ranges will use a “Soft Close” door
feature. This feature allows the oven door to be
opened to any position, (between 30° and 80°),
and will remain in that position until it is pushed
closed. When the door is pushed, an oil-filled
cylinder will dampen the closing action, and the
door will close softly against the front of the
range. The concept is similar to that which is
used on screen doors, or on the hatchbacks of
cars. The oil-filled cylinder is part of one of the
range hinge assemblies, and can be mounted
on either side.
