What to do if my Whirlpool W10343071A Washer/Dryer is not draining or spinning and clothes are wet?
    • B
      Brad SawyerAug 19, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer isn't draining or spinning, and loads are still wet, first empty pockets and use garment bags for small items. Select a cycle with a low spin speed. Ensure correct drain hose installation, preventing the drain hose from extending more than 4.5" into the standpipe. Too much detergent can also slow or stop draining and spinning. Tightly packed or unbalanced loads prevent correct spinning. Check the drain hose for proper installation, using a drain hose form and securely attaching it to the drainpipe or tub, without taping over the drain opening. Lower the drain hose if the end is higher than 96" above the floor, and remove any clogs. Always measure detergent according to the load size. To remove extra suds, select Rinse and Spin without adding detergent.

How to improve cleaning and stain removal in my Whirlpool W10343071A?
    • R
      Rebecca AdamsAug 21, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer is not cleaning or removing stains effectively, avoid using too much detergent, as excessive suds can hinder proper operation. Always measure detergent and follow manufacturer’s directions based on load size and soil level. Use a higher soil level cycle option and a warmer wash temperature to improve cleaning. Use the Heavy cycle for tough cleaning. Utilize dispensers to prevent chlorine bleach and fabric softener staining by loading them before starting a cycle and setting Fabric Softener to ON when using it. Avoid adding products directly to the load. Wash like colors together and promptly remove items after the cycle to prevent dye transfer.

What to do if my Whirlpool W10343071A Washer/Dryer load is not rinsing properly?
    • J
      josephpageAug 25, 2025
If the load isn't being rinsed properly in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, start by checking the water supply to ensure hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed and are properly attached with water flowing to the inlet valve, with both hot and cold water faucets turned on. Ensure that the inlet valve screens on the washer are not clogged and that there are no kinks in the inlet hose. Using too much detergent can prevent correct operation, so always measure it according to load size and soil level. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall, avoiding tightly packed loads and loading only dry items. Use a cycle designed for the fabrics being washed and add only 1 or 2 garments after the washer has started.

Why are there dry spots on my Whirlpool W10343071A load after the cycle?
    • K
      Kimberly OsborneAug 26, 2025
If you notice dry spots on your load after a cycle in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, select a higher load-size setting or wash a smaller load. The high spin speeds combined with air flow during the final spin can cause items near the top of the load to develop dry spots during the final spin. This is normal.

What to do if there's sand, pet hair, or lint on clothes after washing in my Whirlpool W10343071A?
    • S
      Seth SimpsonAug 28, 2025
If you find sand, pet hair, lint, etc. on the load after washing in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, add an extra rinse to the selected cycle, as heavy sand, pet hair, lint, and detergent or bleach residues may require additional rinsing.

How to get rid of odors in my Whirlpool W10343071A?
    • C
      claudia41Aug 30, 2025
To address odors in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, unload the washer as soon as the cycle is complete. Ensure you are measuring detergent correctly and following the manufacturer’s directions, as using too much detergent can contribute to odors.

Why won't my Whirlpool W10343071A Washer/Dryer run or fill with water?
    • B
      blaketaylorSep 1, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer won't run or fill, ensure it's properly plugged into a grounded outlet and that the outlet has power. Avoid using an extension cord. Remember, the door must be fully closed for the washer to operate. The washer pauses during certain cycles, so avoid interrupting it. The washer spins the dry load for several minutes before filling to determine if the load is balanced, this is normal. If the problem persists, remove several items, rearrange the load evenly in the basket, add detergent, close the door, and press PUSH TO START. To prevent unbalancing, do not add more than 1 or 2 additional items after a cycle has started.

How can I prevent fabric damage in my Whirlpool Washer/Dryer?
    • M
      Mr. Jason JohnsonSep 4, 2025
To prevent fabric damage in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, empty pockets, zip zippers, and snap or hook fasteners before washing to avoid snags and tears. Tie all strings and straps to prevent tangling. Mend rips and broken threads in seams before washing. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall, loading only dry items, to avoid tightly packed loads. Use a cycle designed for the fabrics being washed and add only 1 or 2 garments after the washer has started. Avoid pouring liquid chlorine bleach directly onto the load, wipe up any spills, and do not use more bleach than recommended. Do not place load items on top of the bleach dispenser when loading and unloading the washer. Always read and follow garment manufacturer’s care label instructions.

How to prevent load tangling in my Whirlpool W10343071A?
    • N
      Nicole ReedSep 6, 2025
If loads are tangling in your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer, refer to the “Using Your Washer” section for loading recommendations. Select a cycle with slower wash action and spin speed, keeping in mind that items will be wetter than those using a higher speed spin. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall. Reduce tangling by mixing types of load items and use the recommended cycle for the type of garments being washed.

Why are the wash and rinse temperatures wrong in my Whirlpool Washer/Dryer?
    • J
      Joe DudleySep 8, 2025
If your Whirlpool Washer/Dryer is using incorrect wash or rinse temperatures, check that the hot and cold inlet hoses are not reversed. Both hoses must be attached to both the washer and faucet, ensuring both hot and cold water flow to the inlet valve. Also, check that the inlet valve screens are not clogged, and remove any kinks in the hoses. This washer uses cooler wash and rinse water temperatures than your previous washer, including cooler hot and warm washes, due to energy-saving controlled wash temperatures.
