Questions and Answers

Why is my Whirlpool WHAD703PAW not drying the air?
    • L
      Linda JonesAug 7, 2025
Several factors can affect your Whirlpool Dehumidifier's ability to dry the air. Check for airflow restrictions caused by curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the unit's front. Ensure the temperature control is properly set by lowering the thermostat. The humidity control might be set too high; lower the desired humidity percentage or set the dehumidifier to CO for maximum dehumidification. Also, very cool room temperatures reduce moisture removal. Confirm that all doors and windows are tightly closed. If the dehumidifier vents into the house, it may struggle to keep up with the added moisture. If the unit was just installed, allow at least 24 hours to reach the desired dryness.

What to do if my Whirlpool Dehumidifier will not start?
    • V
      Victor GonzalezAug 14, 2025
If your Whirlpool Dehumidifier isn't starting, first, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Then, check your house's fuse or circuit breaker box, replacing the fuse or resetting the breaker if needed. If there was a power failure, the unit will restart automatically after approximately 3 minutes. Also, the dehumidifier turns off automatically if it has reached the set humidity level or the bucket is full; in this case, set a lower humidity level or empty the bucket and replace it correctly. Finally, ensure the bucket is securely seated in its proper position.

Why does my Whirlpool Dehumidifier run too much?
    • C
      Courtney HouseAug 22, 2025
Your Whirlpool Dehumidifier might run excessively if the area it's dehumidifying is too large for its capacity. Another reason could be open doors and windows, so ensure these are closed to prevent outside air from entering.

What to do if there is water on the floor near my Whirlpool WHAD703PAW Dehumidifier?
    • J
      Joshua RodriguezAug 30, 2025
If you find water on the floor, it might be due to a loose hose connection. Check the connection and make sure it is tight. Also, if a hose is attached, ensure it is positioned so water can flow freely into the drain.
