Advice and Tips
Tips:
- Remove food residues and empty glasses before loading. No need to pre-rinse under running water.
- Arrange crockery firmly, with openings facing downwards for proper water flow.
- Ensure sprayer arms can rotate freely.
- Place small items in the cutlery basket.
- Heavily soiled dishes and pans go in the lower basket for stronger water sprays.
Hygiene:
- Run a high-temperature program at least once a month with a teaspoon of detergent and no loading to clean the appliance and prevent odors/sediment.
Unsuitable Crockery:
- Wooden crockery/cutlery, delicate decorated glasses, artistic handicraft, antique crockery, synthetic materials not withstanding high temperatures, copper/tin crockery, crockery soiled with ash/wax/grease/ink.
- Glass decorations and aluminum/silver pieces may change/fade. Some crystal objects may become opaque over time.
Damage to Glass and Crockery:
- Use only dishwasher-safe glasses and porcelain.
- Use a delicate detergent.
- Collect items as soon as the wash cycle is over.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly:
- Regularly clean to prevent clogging and ensure proper wastewater flow.
- The assembly has three filters: cylindrical filter A, cup filter B, and stainless-steel plate filter C.
- Procedure:
- Turn cylindrical filter A anti-clockwise and pull it out.
- Remove cup filter B by pressing side flaps.
- Slide out stainless-steel plate filter C.
- Inspect the trap and remove food residues (do not remove the black wash-cycle pump protection).
- Clean thoroughly under running water with a non-metallic brush.
- Re-place the assembly correctly for efficient operation.
Cleaning the Spray Arms:
- Food residue can encrust and block spray arm holes.
- Check and clean arms periodically with a small non-metallic brush.
- To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring anti-clockwise. Replace with the side with more holes facing upwards.
- The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose:
- If hoses are new or unused for a long time, let water run until clear and free of impurities before connecting to prevent blockages and damage.
Troubleshooting
If the dishwasher doesn't work properly, consult the following:
- Dishwasher won't start/respond:
- Possible Cause: Not plugged in, power outage, door not closed, not responding to commands.
- Solution: Insert plug, wait for power return, push door until it clicks, switch off/on and reset program.
- Dishwasher won't drain:
- Possible Cause: Wash cycle not finished, bent drain hose, blocked sink drain pipe, clogged filter.
- Solution: Wait for cycle to finish, check/straighten drain hose, clean sink drain pipe, clean filter assembly.
- Dishwasher makes excessive noise:
- Possible Cause: Rattling dishes, excessive foam.
- Solution: Arrange crockery correctly, check detergent dosage/suitability, reset dishwasher, run new program without detergent.
- Dishes are not clean:
- Possible Cause: Crockery not arranged properly, spray arms hindered, wash cycle too gentle, excessive foam, rinse aid compartment cap not shut, soiled/clogged filter, no salt.
- Solution: Arrange crockery correctly, select appropriate wash cycle, check detergent dosage/suitability, ensure rinse aid cap is closed, clean filter assembly, fill salt reservoir.
