      If your Whirlpool Dishwasher won't start or respond, try these steps: * Ensure the appliance is properly plugged into the socket. * If there was a power outage, open the dishwasher door, press the START/Pause button, and close the door within 4 seconds. * Make sure the dishwasher door is fully closed until you hear a 'click'. * If the cycle was interrupted by opening the door for more than 4 seconds, press START/Pause and close the door within 4 seconds. * If the display shows 9 or 12 and the On/Off LED is blinking rapidly, switch the appliance off and on again after one minute. If the problem persists, unplug the appliance for 1 minute, then plug it back in.
