mationconcerningtheprospectiveuserthattheprospectiveuserhasanyofthefollowingcondi-

(i)Visiblecongenitalortraumaticdeformityoftheear
(ii)Historyofactivedrainagefromtheearwithinthepreviousdays
(iii)Historyofsuddenorrapidlyprogressivehearinglosswithinthepreviousdays
(iv)Acuteorchronicdizziness
(v)Unilateralhearinglossofsuddenorrecentonsetwithinthepreviousdays
(vi) Audiometricair-bonegapequaltoorgreaterthandecibelsathertz(Hz)Hz

(vii)Visibleevidenceofsignificantcerumenaccumulationoraforeignbodyintheearcanal
(viii)Painordiscomfortintheear
Specialcareshouldbeexercisedinselectingandfittingahearingaidwhosemaximumsound
pressurelevelexceedsdecibelsbecausetheremayberiskofimpairingtheremaininghearing
ofthehearingaiduser(Thisprovisionisrequiredonlyforthosehearingaidswithamaximum
soundpressurecapabilitygreaterthandecibels(dB))
