g) Open the vapour valve of the refrigerant tank
h) Press the START button to start the compressor.
i) Open the liquid port (or only vapour, or both) on your manifold gauge set.
j) Slowly open the INPUT valve
k) In the presence of liquid refrigerant, place the INPUT valve so that it does not go beyond the
"liquid" zone
l) If the compressor starts to knock, slowly throttle back the INPUT valve until the knocking stops.
m) If the unit fails to start or has stopped due to an excessive quantity of liquid inside the
compressor, please turn the INPUT valve to close position and then start the unit by pressing the
START button; then slowly open the INPUT valve.
n) The unit stop automatically at the end of the cycle
o) When recovery process is over, start the self-purge process.
Always purge the unit after each use. Failure to purge the remained refrigerant from the unit could result
in the acidic degradation of internal components and ultimately cause premature failure of the unit.
If the START button is pressed in vacuum (no refrigerant) the unit has started anyway for 20 seconds.
5.3. REFRIGERANT RECOVERY/RECYCLING
Make sure that the V4 valve is on position “Recovery/Recycling”
a) Connect the refrigerant circuit to the recovery unit by means of flexible hoses with ball valve, as
shown by the picture.
b) Turn the V4 valve in Recovery/Recycling position
c) Turn the INPUT valve in close position
d) Turn the OUTPUT valve in open position
