2.1 Intended use
This CPG1500 precision digital pressure gauge can be used as a calibration instrument
and also for any (indoor/outdoor) application that requires high-accuracy pressure
measurement. Measuring ranges between 0 ... 10,000 bar [0 ... 150,000 psi] can be
measured.
The CPG1500 must only be operated with media of fluid group 2 in accordance with
directive 2014/68/EU article 13, which are considered harmless for the wetted parts
across the entire area of application of the instrument. Do not use the CPG1500 with
abrasive and viscous media or oxygen.
Use with oxygen is possible as an option. In this case, contact WIKA. For
contact details, see chapter 1 “General information” or the back page of
the operating instructions.
The use of unstable fluids, especially hydrogen, must be avoided.
If the CPG1500 is used in applications with oil as the pressure medium, make sure it
will not be used with combustibles or gases directly after that because it can lead to
dangerous explosions and danger to personnel and machinery.
This instrument is not permitted to be used in hazardous areas. Special
versions are available for these application areas. Observe the additional
operating instructions for hazardous areas (Ex i) for the precision digital
pressure gauge, model CPG1500 (14571454).
The instrument has been designed and engineered solely for the intended use
described here, and may only be used accordingly.
The technical specifications in these operating instructions must be observed, see
chapter 10 “Specifications” It is assumed that the instrument is handled properly and
within its technical specifications. Otherwise, the instrument must be taken out of
service immediately and inspected by an authorised WIKA service engineer.
Handle electronic precision measuring instruments with the required care (protect from
humidity, impacts, strong magnetic fields, static electricity and extreme temperatures,
do not insert any objects into the instrument or its openings). Connectors and female
connectors must be protected from contamination.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for claims of any type based on operation contrary
to the intended use.
