Handy tips
We recommend using freshly roasted coffee in accordance with your personal preferences. Ask your
local coffee retailer for advice. Once it is roasted, coffee does not remain fresh for very long. You can
improve the shelf life of your coffee by packaging it well and storing it in the fridge.
Use fresh water, do not leave the water in the device unused for more than 4 days.
Empty and rinse the water tank regularly (once a week). Always switch the device off before removing
the tank to fi ll or empty it. Always place the device on a fl at, stable surface.
Tips on selecting coffee types
Full aroma:
Your best bet is to choose pure Arabica beans or those made primarily from Arabica coffees. Hand-
roasted coffees are better as they have more complex and fi ner aromas. For a change of fl avour, try
single origin coffee.
Strong coffee
Use coffee blends with Robusta beans - those which are not specifi ed as 100% Arabica - or coffee
described as “Italian Roast” or “Italian Coffee”.
Fill up your sieve completely with coffee powder and compress it with the compactor.
