8. Compare the angle of the grinding wheel with the gauge.
If needed, adjust the hook angle:
9. Loosen the wing nuts on the sharpener head to allow the head to rotate. (Do not remove
the wing nuts.) See Fig. 4-2.
NOTE: The top wing nut and the position in the slot controls the angle
of the sharpener head rotation.
10. Rotate the sharpener head so that the face of the grinding wheel is parallel with the edge
of the hook angle gauge.
11. Tighten the wing nuts on the sharpener head.
12. Remove the gauge.
For a different hook angle, remove, reorient, and replace the gauge on the clamping fix-
ture, and repeat the previous steps.
