1. Apply a bead of sili cone sealant approx i mate ly 6 mm
!0 . 25 in .) diameter around the outside of the blanking off
cap and against t he wall mounting plate . See Fig. 6.
2. li ft the appliance onto the wall mounting plat e. Engage
the two support t abs into the slots in the b ack ot t he
appliance casing. Locatet he three M6 swds and blanki ng
oft cap on the wall mo u nt ing pl ate into the back of the
appliance casi n g. Fas te n the appliance to the wall
mo u nt ing pla te w ith the three M6 nu ts and washe rs
previously r emoved.
3. Rem ove th e fan and flue hood assembly;

(e) Unscrew th e two M4 w i ng nu ts and washers , one from
each side of the flue hood assembly . Ease the flue h ood
assembly oH the heat exch a nger and out of the b oiier
casing .
(f) Unscre w the two M4 extension w i ng bol ts and r emove
th e fl ue duct cla mp ing ring from t he flue d uct hou si ng .
Retain
the fan assem bl y and M Sscrcw, M4 wing n uts and
washer s, flue hoo d as semb l y, M4 exter.sion w ing baits
and cL amping r ing. T ake care not to da ma ge t he
com p onen ts.
4. Cut an d assemble the air duct as follows:
(a) Measure the di st a nce L along the ho riz onta l centre line
fr om the outs ide of the app lian ce to 1 he out side of th ew all.

lc) Reduce the length of the exte nsion air du ct by cu tting from
the end without holes unt il the required overa ll length afte r
engage men t is ob tained. See Fi g. 18.
(d) Fu Uy engage the exte ns io n ai rduct intotheexpa nde dend
of the standard ai r duct. Ensure theoveralllengthiscorre ct
and the t wo ho les in th e ex t ens i on air d uct are po sitioned
at the extreme en d. See Fig. 1 8.
(e~ Using the t wo holes in the expanded e nd as a guide . drill
two 3 mm diameter hole s. App ly a smear of sil ic one
seal ant around the o ut s ide of the ext ens i on duct.
Re assem bl e and secure wi th the 1wo s elf tt t pp i ng screws
supplied. See Fig. 18.

NOTE: The flue termin al adaptor is not required and mu st
be discarded.
Using the holes in th e extension air d uct as a guide, drill
through the fl ue te rmi nal wi th the 3 mm Orill s up plied.
Secure the asse mblytog ether w it h the tw o No. 6 x 1 0 mm
self tapp i ng sc r ews. See Fig. 19 .
. 5. Cut and assemble the flue duct as follo ws;
(a) Reduce1he l engthoi th estan dar dflu eductto 114 0 mm
( 45 in.) Cut su rp l us f ro m plain end. Do not cut expan ded
e nd . See Fig. 1 B.
lbl Fully engage the short ened standard flue duct into the
expan d ed end of th e ex tens1on flu e duct . Usin g 1he two
holes in the expanded en d as a gu ide dr ill two 3 mm
diamet et l'loles us ing the drill suppl ied. Disengage the flue
ducts.

(c) Sfide the flue cla mpin g ri ng om o the s ta n da rd fl ue d uct
and l ocat e at the exp anded end of the d uc t with t he
chamfer agai ns t the expa nded end. See Fig . 18 .
(d ) Apply a smear of siticone seala nt around the outside of
the stand ard flue d uc t. Reassemble a nd secu re with the
t
wo se lf- ta ppi ng screws supp lied. See Fig. 1 8.
NOTE: The support sp ider is not required and shoul d be
d
isca rded.
je) The ovetalllength o fth e duct required is L + 26 0mm (L
+ 10 . 25 in .}. Re duce the overall ~ength oft he assembly
to this di mensi on by cu1ting surp l us fro m the pla in end of
the ex ten sion piece.
(f) Assem ble the flue du ct i nto the air du ct and engage the
end of the flue du ct i nt o the flue terminal. See Fig. 1 9.
NOTE : Th e flue duct sho u ld s lide into the te rm inal
approximately 100 mm 14 .0 in.). See Fig. 19.
6. Rearrar.ge t he flue du ct h ousing posi tion for si de flue
app li cat ion. Repl ace the flue hood assembly , fit the flut::
assemb ly a nd rep l!j ce th e fan assembly as follows :-
(a I Unscrew the four M 5 screws secur i ng th e 1 1ue du el
housing onto the fl ue hood . Rea ;r a nge the flue o ut let to
th e required si de flue pos i ti on. Rep la ce the 1our M5
scre ws .

Rep:ac~ the fl ue hoo d assen•b ly . Ensure the two M4 bolts
are co rre ct ly locat ed and secure w ith the ~w o M4 win g
nu ts and washers previously r emove d .
(c)
Apply a smea r of sili co ne sea la nt around the inside of the
a ir du ct s oc ket on the si de of the b oile r.
;d) From the outside, case the flue assembly thr ough th e hole
prepared in t he wall . Pass the flue d uc t clamping ring
th tough the air duct socket as sh own in Fig. 23. Fully
e ngagetheairdu c tint ot he socket on the side ott he boiler.
Tighten the clamp ing screw. See Fig. 22.

Assem ble t he f lu e duct to t he fl ue du ct hous i ng and f ix
together with th e cla mping ring a nd the two M4extension
wing bo l ts pre v iou sly removed . See Fig. 1 5.
(f) Make good ex t ernal brickwo rk or wall rendering. The
ir.side
ed ge of the rolled channel fixed to th e flue term i na l
will pr otrud e approximately 10 mm £0 .4 in.) from the wall.
Mak e good in terna l b~ickwork or w all finish . Ensure t he
flue asse mb ly is in a h or i zontal plain.
(g} Replace the fan assembly and secure wi th the M4 screw
prev io us ly r emoved.

de of the fan hous ing.
!il R econ nect the elec trical co nne c ti on to the tan at t he plug
in te rminal st rip.
7. Remove th e Jc n ockout area in t he cabin et side panel to f it
ove r the air d uct. R emove any sharp edges.
8 . Rep lace the cabinet si de panel. Locate the bottom key hole
slot ove rthe M5 screw a nd tig hte n. To engage panel it will
need to be tilted to all ow engag emen t onto the bottom
screw . Sc rewth e M5c a pt ive ex tension screw at th e top
inside ed ge of the side panel to thfl rear of th e applian ce .
9. Fit t heM 5 he)Cag on headed screw previo u sly re ta ined to
the fro nt ins id e edge of each si de pa nel a nd locate it to th e
electrica l control panel.
