Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Solution
The compressor doesn’t
start.
No mains voltage is
present.
Check the mains connection line,
mains plug, safety valve and
socket.
The mains voltage is
too low.
Make sure that the mains voltage
corresponds to the specification
on the rating plate.
Avoid using an extension cord that
is too long.
Only use an extension cord with a
sufficient core cross-section.
The ambient tem-
perature is too low.
Do not operate the compressor at
ambient temperatures below +5 °C.
There is not enough
oil in the crankcase.
Check the oil level and, if necessary,
add oil as described in the chapter
Adding and changing oil”.
The motor has over-
heated. The over-
load protection has
triggered.
Let the motor cool off. If necessary,
rectify the cause of overheating.
Reset the reset button for the over-
load protection as described in the
chapter “Overload protection”.
The compressor doesn’t
stop. Once the maxi-
mum pressure has been
reached, the safety
valve will automatically
activate.
The compressor is
defective.
Contact customer service or an
authorised specialist workshop to
have the compressor repaired.
The compressor is run-
ning, but no pressure is
created.
The gaskets are
defective.
Check the gaskets.
Have defective gaskets replaced
by a specialist workshop or the
After Sales Support.
The drain cock for
condensed water is
not closed or has a
leak.
Close the drain cock for con-
densed water.
Check the gasket for the screw
and if necessary, replace it. Close
the drain cock for condensed
water.
