Pin(s) - Signal Name (Continued)
60 - UNSQUELCHED GUARD AUDIO
This line provides an unsquelched audio output of the Guard Receiver for use
with external audio decoders. The frequency response is approximately flat from
60 Hz to 5 kHz. Standard 3 kHz modulation of a 1 kHz tone will produce
approximately 0.6 Vrms into a 20k Ohm load.
14 - TX POWER SELECT
This pin, when driven to ground with 150 mA of current sink capability, shall
enable high transmit power if available.
19 - GD SELECT
This pin, when driven to ground with 150 mA of current sink capability, shall
select the Guard module.
20 - ZEROIZE
This pin shall provide external erase function for the external cipher if present.
This pin may either pull to ground or provide switched +28 VDC erase depending
on internal jumper configuration.
36 - GUARD TONE ENABLE
This pin, when driven to ground with 150 mA of current sink capability, shall
enable the selected BCD tone for RX mode of the Guard receiver.
38 - CIPHER/PLAIN
This pin shall be driven to ground to select plain mode, if available.
40 - PLAIN CIPHER
This pin shall be driven to ground to select cipher mode, if available.
42 - MIN VOL SET
This pin, when driven to +5 VDC shall enable Main Volume control. Note that
this pin is in parallel with Pin 50.
45 - EXTERNAL ENCODE IN
This output shall provide the RT system’s wide band main transmit audio output
for use with external equipment.
46 - DF DISABLE
Asserting this pin high shall disable output of DF audio.
47 - TAKE CONTROL
If this input pin is grounded, the Serial control lines shall be tri-stated. This
allows for control of the RT-5000 by another C-5000.
