(7) Perform the steps 1-6 on RT #2, if applicable.
5. GUARD Receiver Tests
(1) Set the C-5000 GUARD channel(s) to a desired GUARD frequency between 30.00 and 960.00 MHz.
Utilizing a handheld radio or another Multiband radio set to the same frequency, talk into the
microphone with a strong voice (say and hold the word “four”). Verify that the C-5000 indicates a
receive condition by showing the receive indicator.
(2) Verify that receive audio is heard in the headset.
NOTE – 0501 radios may utilize two GUARD channels. Repeat steps 1-2 for second GUARD
channel as required.
(3) Perform steps 1-2 on RT #2, if applicable.
