What to do if X-Tronic 5040-XR3 doesn't turn on?

If your X-Tronic soldering gun doesn't seem to power on, try these steps: First, make sure the power cord is properly connected at the back and plugged into a working, grounded outlet. Next, check that the main power switch located at the back of the unit is in the 'on' position. Also, ensure that the power switch on the front of the unit is also turned on. Finally, inspect the main power input fuse and replace it if it has blown.
