4) Safe - Do not install the Truecharge 20i/40i in the same compartment
as batteries or flammable liquids such as gasoline.
5) Close to battery/batteries - Avoid excessive cable lengths. Use
recommended wire sizes and locate the charger as far away from
the battery as the DC cables permit. Do not install the Truecharge
20i/40i closer than 0.7 m to a battery unless it is in a separate
compartment.
Mounting:
Your Truecharge 20i/40i should be mounted securely to a vertical
surface, with the AC input at the top and the DC output at the bottom.
Mounting hardware should be size M4 (4 mm) or larger.
AC Wiring:
Warning: Shock hazard. The Truecharge 20i/40i must be
properly grounded to reduce risk of electrical shock. The AC
power supply cord and plug used must have a ground conductor
and the socket must be able to accept the plug without modi-
fication. Have an electrician install proper wiring and sockets
if they are not already installed.
Warning: Fire and shock hazard. AC wiring should only be
performed by a qualified electrician and must be done in
accordance with local electrical codes.
Warning: Risk of explosion. Connect the Truecharge 20i/40i
to AC power
after connecting to the battery, and disconnect
AC input power
before disconnecting from battery. This will
reduce the likelihood of sparking.
In order to connect your Truecharge 20i/40i to AC power, you will
require an approved supply cord that matches the 230 VAC
