Function Description
The D-109 serves as a multi-band radio, covering FM stereo, Longwave (LW), Mediumwave (MW), and Shortwave (SW) frequencies. It integrates a wireless Bluetooth player and supports TF card MP3 playback, making it a complete audio entertainment device.
Radio Functions:
- Power Control: A simple short press of the power button toggles the device ON or OFF, indicated by "ON" or "OFF" on the display.
- Band Selection: Users can easily switch between FM, MW/LW, and SW bands using dedicated buttons. For Shortwave, repeated short presses of the SW -/SW + buttons allow for switching between different meter bands.
- Frequency Tuning:
- Manual Tuning (VF): The device features a tuning knob for manual frequency adjustment. Users can also press the VF key and then turn the tuning knob slowly or quickly to fine-tune the frequency.
- Scanning Frequency (SCAN): A long press of the SCAN button initiates an automatic browsing mode, where the radio scans for stations and pauses for 5 seconds on each found station. A short click on SCAN stops the search.
- Direct Frequency Input: For precise tuning, users can input the desired radio frequency directly using the numeric keys after pressing the VF key.
- Memory Functions:
- Manual Memory (VF): To store a station, select the preferred band and radio frequency, then short press the MEMORY key. The radio station code will flash in the upper right corner. Press MEMORY again to confirm storage.
- Automatic Scanning Memory: Long pressing the corresponding band key (FM, MW/LW, SW) will automatically scan and memorize radio frequencies within that band.
- Shortwave Automatic Search: The device offers two modes for shortwave automatic search: a full meter band search (long press SW - for 3 seconds) and a current meter band search (long press SW + for 3 seconds).
- Accessing Memory Stations (VM): After a station search, users can enter memory radio mode by pressing the VM key briefly. The TUNING button can then be used to switch between stored frequencies, or the frequency number can be directly input using the numeric keys.
- Auto Scan Memory (VM): To browse stored stations, select a band, short press VM, then long press SCAN for 3 seconds. The device will scan each memory station for 5 seconds. A short press of SCAN selects the current station for listening; otherwise, it continues to the next.
- Deleting Memory Stations:
- Single Station Deletion: In memory retrieval state (short press VM), select the band and then use the TUNING button to choose the station to be deleted. Long press DELETE for 3 seconds until "[DEL]" appears, then short press again to confirm.
- Current Band Deletion: In memory retrieval state, select the band, then press and hold DELETE until "(ALL)" is displayed. Release and short press again to confirm deletion of all stations in that band.
- All Memory Deletion: With the machine off, press and hold DELETE for 3 seconds until "[DEL]" and "[ALL]" flash. Then, press and hold BT for 3 seconds to confirm.
- AM Bandwidth Switching: Continuous short presses of the BW button allow users to cycle through different AM bandwidths.
- FM Stereo Switch: When using headphones, a short press of the ST/B key activates FM stereo mode, indicated by a stereo symbol. Pressing it again turns stereo off.
- External Antenna: For improved reception on FM and SW, an external antenna can be plugged into the ANT socket.

- Bluetooth Function:

- Bluetooth Disconnection: Long press the BT button for 2 seconds to disconnect the current device. Long press again to reconnect.
- TF Card MP3 Player:
- Playback: Insert a TF card with music files. Short press the MUSIC key to enter TF card MP3 playing state.
- Song Selection: Use the ►►/◄◄ keys for previous/next song. The TUNING knob can also select songs. Long press ►►/◄◄ for fast forward/rewind.
- Play/Pause: The ►II button controls play/pause.
- Repeat Mode: Long press the MUSIC key to toggle between single song repeat and all song repeat modes.
Display and Settings:
- Display Content Switching (DPY/TO): When using the radio, short pressing the DPY/TO key repeatedly cycles the upper right display area through signal strength/signal-to-noise ratio, timed boot time, alarm A/B, local time, and memory radio frequency number.
- Backlight Control:
- Automatic Backlight: Pressing any button illuminates the backlight for 5 seconds, then it turns off.
- Long Bright Mode: Long press the BW button to keep the backlight on. Long press again to turn it off.
- Sleep Timed Shutdown:
- Setting: With the power ON, short press SLEEP. The sleep icon will flash. Continuously press SLEEP or turn the TUNING knob to select a shutdown time (01-120 minutes). The setting will flash for 3 seconds for automatic confirmation.
- Canceling: Turn the machine ON again to cancel the sleep shutdown setting.

- 12/24 Hour System: In shutdown state, long press number key 3 to set the 12/24 hour time system.

- Alarm Source (Music): Insert a TF card with music. Power on, short press MUSIC, and adjust volume. Short press MEMORY (song number flashes). Short press ALARM A or ALARM B. The alarm icon and TF card icon will flash for 2 seconds to confirm.
- Wake-up with Alarm: When the alarm triggers, the device will power on. If the alarm source is music, it will play from the TF card. If it's radio, it will tune to the set frequency.
- Operation After Alarm: After the alarm starts the machine, it needs to be manually turned off by pressing POWER or SLEEP twice. To cancel radio or music alarm locks, press POWER and SLEEP briefly.
- Keyboard Lock: Long press DPY/TO to lock the keyboard and TUNING button, indicated by a lock icon. Long press again to unlock.
