The QiCycle Electric Folding Bike is a compact and versatile electric bicycle designed for urban commuting and leisure rides. Its folding mechanism allows for easy storage and transport, making it ideal for those with limited space or who combine cycling with public transport.
The bike features a built-in Shimano shifter on the right side of the handlebar, allowing riders to easily switch between gears. Scrolling the handle down shifts to a higher gear, while scrolling up shifts to a lower gear, providing flexibility for various terrains and riding preferences.
The bike's display serves as a central interface for managing various functions. It allows users to switch the connecting interface of the application by pressing the top/bottom display buttons. The display also shows the battery level, indicated by a number of burning indicators: four indicators for 76-100% charge, three for 50-75%, two for 26-50%, one for 11-25%, and a flashing light for 1-10%.
The electric folding bike is equipped with a motor that provides assistance during rides. The power button on the display allows users to switch the bike on or off by pressing and holding it for three seconds. If the battery level is low, the bike automatically enters sleep mode to conserve power. The display also controls the lights: holding the top button simultaneously turns the front and rear lights on/off, while pressing and holding the bottom button turns the rear headlight on/off.
The bike's folding pedals are designed for convenience. By lightly pressing a pedal, it can be folded without much effort, further enhancing the bike's portability.
Before the first use, it is essential to charge the battery. The charging port is accessed by opening a flip cover, and the protective cover from the adapter plug should be removed before insertion. After turning the bike on, a 10-second wait is required for the torque sensor to switch to its starting position.
Installing the pedals requires a 15mm wrench. The left pedal is tightened counterclockwise, and the right pedal clockwise.
Adjusting the steering tilt involves setting the desired angle of the handlebar and simultaneously tightening two screws using a 5mm hex key.
The saddle height can be adjusted by loosening the saddle clamp, selecting an appropriate position, and then tightening the clamp of the saddle pin. It's crucial not to exceed the maximum safe height. Recommended saddle heights are provided based on stature: 185cm stature for 180cm saddle height, 175cm for 170cm, and 165cm for 160cm.
The steering tube is installed in a vertical position, ensuring a tight conjunction between the steering pipes and the lower part of the bike. Lifting the latch secures the steering tube's position.
The bike can be connected to a mobile application by scanning a QR code. After registration, scanning the QR code shown on the main page establishes a successful connection, providing more information on management and use of the vehicle.
For battery installation, the saddle pin clamp is loosened, the saddle pin is removed, and the battery is inserted into the bicycle frame until it clicks into place. To remove the battery, the saddle pin clamp is loosened, the saddle pin is removed, and the engine control lever is pressed to release the battery.
Safety is paramount when riding. Users should carefully read instructions, understand the device, and review conditions under which it is not recommended for use. It is advised not to let people who cannot manage the bike ride it. A helmet should be worn, and traffic rules followed. Before traveling, tire pressure should be checked (recommended 35-45 PSI). The bike's speed should not exceed 15 km/h. During travel, the engine should not be exposed to excessive shaking or severe shocks, and the spindle should be periodically lubricated.
Brakes must be checked before each trip. The rear brake is recommended as the primary brake. Brake pads should be monitored for wear, and replaced if worn by one-third. In rainy or snowy weather, an increased braking distance is recommended.
The battery should be charged at temperatures between 0°C and 45°C and kept dry. It should not be immersed in acidic or alkaline liquids, exposed to rain, heat sources, high temperatures, or moisture. Disassembling or damaging the battery is strictly forbidden. Only the original power adapter should be used for recharging, and the bike should not be left on the charger for more than six hours, with the charging current not exceeding 2A. For long-term storage, the battery should be kept in a dark, dry, and cool place, and charged for two hours every two months. The power adapter is specifically for this battery type and should not be used for other devices. Charging should occur in a well-ventilated area, not in a closed room or high-temperature environment. The battery should be inserted first, then the adapter connected to the power supply. After a full charge, disconnect the adapter from the power supply, then from the battery. If the indicator light is green, the battery should be disconnected. Prolonged connection after full recharge is not advised. If unusual smells, overheating, or abnormal indicator lights occur during recharging, the battery should be immediately disconnected and the device repaired or replaced. External substances should not penetrate the power adapter, and it should not be immersed in liquids. The power adapter should not be continuously transported in the vehicle and should be protected from strong shocks during transport.
For storage, the bike should be kept in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. The chain should be lubricated timely. All bolts and fasteners should be regularly checked and tightened if necessary. Recommended twisting forces are: screws with washer (60-80 Ncm), screws stem (175-200 Ncm), saddle screws (175-250 Ncm), and bolts wheels (320-450 Ncm). The chain tension should be checked, and adjusted if less than 2 cm.
The warranty covers various components for specific periods: frame (2 years), front fork, wheels, shift knob, flywheel, gear drive, crankshaft, driving axle, rear hub, screws, steering wheel, saddle pin, brake calipers, brake handle, flipper, front fork cup, carriage, and magnetic clasp of wheel (1 year). Smart parts like the display, motor, motor controller, lights, power adapter, torque sensor, and battery are covered for one year. Consumables such as tires, inner camera, chain, brake pads, brake cable, gear switching cable, reflector, headlight, taillight, pedal clip for wires, and other additional components are not covered by warranty.
Warranty service includes: within 7 days of purchase, issues determined by the service center as "List of faults" allow for a free replacement or refund. Within 15 days, such issues allow for a free replacement or repair. Within 12 months, issues determined as "List of faults" allow for a free repair.
The warranty does not cover: expired warranty period, absence or correction of sales receipt, damage from force majeure, damage from maintenance, fall, neglect, abuse, water impact, accident, damaged labels, or marking devices. It also excludes device models not matching the warranty card, non-guideline maintenance, unusual sounds/vibrations from pedals, bushings, steering systems, shock absorber, flywheel, or other parts. Deformation of wheels from heavy blows, damage from external factors, punctures, damage from delayed replacement parts, saddle scratches, or frame damage from installing a saddle above the specified limit height are also not covered. Flaking varnish, corrosion from moisture, shock, friction, or other external factors, natural shedding varnish, or fading colors on metal/plastic parts from prolonged use are excluded. Damage from performing tricks, lowering stairs, jumps, or similar actions, and fracture/deformation from excessive/improper use are not covered. Built-in sensors are not subject to multiple charging; warranty terms do not apply to dry or push-button type batteries, and replacement costs are borne by the user.
