The above warning labels mean as follows.

z Keep hands, hair, and clothing away
from rotating parts while the engine is
running.
z Do not touch or remove electrical parts
when starting or during operation.

z Read Owner’s Manuals and labels.
z Wear an approved personal flotation de-
vice (PFD).
z Attach engine shut-off cord (lanyard) to
your PFD, arm, or leg so the engine
stops if you accidentally leave the helm,
which could prevent a runaway boat.
