Oil Pressure Switch Operation
The Oil Pressure Switch completes the ground circuit
for the Oil Pressure Warning light:
1. when the engine is not running and the
Main Switch is turned to the ON or START
position, and
2. if the oil pressure drops during operation.
Condition
Engine running with
normal oil pressure Engine not running
Oil pressure less than
7.1 psi (49 kPA)
Switch contacts
OPEN CLOSED CLOSED
Oil Pressure

OFF ON ON
