What to do if the cutting attachment will not advance line on my Yard Machines Trimmer?
    • D
      Donald VazquezJul 26, 2025
If the Yard Machines Trimmer cutting attachment won't advance the line, begin by stopping the engine and cleaning any grass binding the cutting attachment. If the line is out of line, refill it with a new line. If the inner reel is bound up, replace it. For a dirty cutting head, clean the inner reel and outer spool. If the line is welded, disassemble, remove the welded section, and rewind the line. If the line is twisted, disassemble and rewind it. Lastly, ensure enough line is exposed by pushing the Bump Knob and pulling out the line until 4 inches (102 mm) of line extends beyond the cutting attachment.

What causes a Yard Machines Trimmer engine to not idle?
    • J
      John WeaverAug 1, 2025
If your Yard Machines Trimmer engine will not idle, the air filter may be plugged, so try replacing or cleaning it. Another possible cause is old or improperly mixed fuel; in this case, drain the fuel tank and add a fresh fuel mixture. If neither of these steps resolves the issue, the carburetor adjustment may be improper.

How to fix Yard Machines 41AD-280G000 Trimmer that will not start?
    • J
      James ForbesAug 7, 2025
If your Yard Machines Trimmer engine won't start, first, ensure the On/Off Stop Control is set to START. Next, check the fuel tank and refill if empty. If that doesn't work, fully and slowly press the primer bulb 5-7 times. If the engine is flooded, use the starting procedure with the choke control in the RUN position. Also, consider draining the fuel tank and adding a fresh fuel mixture, in case the fuel is old or improperly mixed. Finally, inspect the spark plug; it may need cleaning or replacing.
