IMPORTANT: READ OPERATOR’S MANUAL THOROUGHLY AND FOLLOW THE SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES BEFORE OPERATING THE UNIT.
Read and understand all instruction, warning and danger labels on the unit.
Remove the cap from the
boom. Push the bottom add-on
into the coupler. Turn the knob
clockwise to tighten.
Put D-handle on shaft. Move
handle a minimum 6 inches
away from shaft grip. Insert
clamp bolt and tighten the
wing nut.
Push the cutting attachment shield
down to the top of the gearbox
assembly and rotate the shield to fit into
the recessed pocket. With all holes lined
up insert and tighten the screws to
secure the shield to the gearbox.
Tip unit so that the back of the engine
is facing up in a vertical position.
Remove the oil fill plug from the
crankcase and pour the entire bottle
of 4-cycle oil into the oil fill hole.
NOTE: Do not mix gas and oil
Fill fuel tank with fresh fuel.
Press primer bulb 10x and move
choke lever to Position 1.
Continue to squeeze
throttle control and
move the choke
lever to Position 3.
Move choke lever to
Position 2.
SQUEEZE and HOLD throttle
control for ALL further steps.
Pull the rope
5 times.
Continue squeezing the
throttle control and run unit for
additional 30 to 60 seconds to
complete warm up. The unit
may be used during this time.
Pull starter rope 3 to 5 times.
Making sure to keep throttle
squeezed, run unit for 30-60
seconds to warm up.
Crouch in starting
position.
DIDN’T START?

Using 10.5 ft. (3.2 m) of line,
Push or pull the line until the
line is evenly distributed, so
approximately 5 ft. (1.5 m) is
visible from both sides of the
cutting head.
Hold the cutting head knob
and turn the cutting head
clockwise to wind the line
around the spool until 5 in.
(12.7 cm) is protruding from
each side of the cutting head.
Align the arrows on the
cutting head knob with
the outerspool eyelets,
if they are not already.
