Meaning and Function of Signal for Starting Point
Detecting Function (Optional board Pr(OP)-003
[EH500])
Read this section only when the starting point detection function is used.
The following table shows the cable number of connection terminal block and corresponding
signals.
• The starting point detection function is an optional function. The
optional board Pr(OP)-003 [EH500] is included when the starting point
detection function is ordered, that is, not included in standard package.
• The optional board for EH500 is Pr(OP)-003 [EH500]. The optional board
Pr(OP)-003 for MOTOWELD-EL350 cannot be used for MOTOWELD-EH500.

While this signal is ON:
1. The high voltage (full-wave
rectification, peak value of
280V) for the starting point
detection is applied between
welding sources output "+"
(torch side) and "-" (base
metal side).
