Note 3. Installation
• In any safety barrier used output current
must be limited by a resistor 'R' such that
Io=Uo/R.
• ThesafetybarriermustbeIECExcertied.
• Input voltage of the safety barrier must be
less than 250 Vrms/Vdc.
• Theinstrumentmodicationorparts
replacement by other than authorized
representative of Yokogawa Electric
Corporation and will void IECEx Intrinsically
safeandtypencertication.

2.10 EMC Conformity Standards
EN61326-1 Class A, Table2 (For use in industrial
locations)
EN61326-2-3
To meet EMC regulations, Yokogawa
recommends that customers run signal
wiring through metal conduits or use shielded
twisted-pair cabling when installing EJX series
transmitters in a plant.
2.11 Pressure Equipment
Directive (PED)
(1) General
• EJX Series pressure transmitters are
categorized as piping under the pressure
accessories section of directive 97/23/EC,
which corresponds to Article 3, Paragraph 3 of
PED, denoted as Sound Engineering Practice
(SEP).
