YORK INTERNATIONAL 109
FORM 155.16-O3
SUN 12:00 AM RFS-CHK FOR CRYSTALLIZATION
(RFS = Refrigerant Float Switch)
(EPROM version A.02F.02 or later; applicable only to
units equipped with Buffalo pumps, Micro Board program
jumper JP2 IN)
Unit has shut down because a “Secondary Limited Auto-
Decrystallization Cycle” was performed and completed
without the refrigerant pump running. This safety shut-
down is performed at the end of the secondary limited
auto-decrystallization cycle if the refrigerant pump had
not been started.
Refer to explanation of message
SYSTEM RUN – SEC-
ONDARY LMTD AUTO-DECRYST
for explanation of second-
ary limited auto-decrystallization cycle.
After it has been determined that crystallization has not
occurred, the unit can be restarted. To restart unit, press
UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, then to START
position.
SUN 12:00 AM – PO – CHK FOR CRYSTALLIZATION
(PO = Pump Overload)
This message indicates the unit is prevented from start-
ing because the Strong Solution Temperature (as mea-
sured by Thermistor RT3), decreased to <136°F (57.7°C)
before the solution(*) or refrigerant pump overload or
thermal switch reclosed during a solution or refrigerant
pump overload safety shutdown.
A dilution cycle is not initiated on “Pump Overload” safety
shutdowns until the overload or thermal switch recloses.
However, if the strong solution temperature has de-
creased to < 136°F (57.7°C) before this happens, a dilu-
tion cycle is not initiated because crystallization might
have occurred during the shutdown. This message ad-
vised the operator to check for crystallization prior to
starting the unit.
After it has been determined that crystallization has not
occurred, the unit can be restarted. To restart unit, press
UNIT switch to STOP/RESET position, then press the
WARNING RESET key in SERVICE mode and then ini-
tiate a start.
(*) on 50 Hz Models YIA-10E3 – YIA-14F3 with Franklin
pumps, the solution pump is replaced by two pumps; an
absorber pump and a generator pump.
SUN 12:00 AM – FLS – CHK FOR CRYSTALLIZATION
(FLS = Chilled Water Flow Switch)
This message indicates the unit is prevented from start-
ing because the Strong Solution Temperature (as mea-
sured by Thermistor RT3), decreased to <136°F (57.7°C)
before the Chilled Water Flow Switch (CHFLS) reclosed
during a “Chilled Water Flow Switch” safety shutdown.
A dilution cycle is not initiated on a “Chilled Water Flow
Switch” shutdown until the flow switch recloses. However,
if the Strong Solution Temperature has decreased to
<136°F (57.7°C) before this happens, a dilution cycle is
not initiated because crystallization might have occurred
during the shutdown. This message advised the operator
to check for crystallization prior to starting the unit.
After it has been determined that crystallization has not
occurred during the shutdown, the unit can be restarted.
To restart unit, press UNIT switch to STOP/RESET po-
sition, then press the WARNING RESET key in SER-
VICE mode, and then initiate a start.
SUN 12:00 AM – CDFL – CHK FOR CRYSTALLIZATION
(CDFL = Condenser Water Flow Switch)
This message indicates the unit is prevented from start-
ing because the Strong Solution Temperature (as mea-
sured by Thermistor RT3), decreased to <136°F (57.7°C)
while the Condenser Water Flow Switch was open dur-
ing a “Condenser Water Flow Switch Shutdown”.
This message advised the operator to check for crystal-
lization prior to starting the unit.
After it has been determined that crystallization has not
occurred during the shutdown, the unit can be restarted.
To restart unit, press UNIT switch to STOP/RESET po-
sition, then press the WARNING RESET key in SER-
VICE mode, and then initiate a start.
SUN 12:00 AM – LRT– CHK FOR CRYSTALLIZATION
(LRT = Low Refrigerant Temperature)
This message indicates the unit is prevented from start-
ing because the Strong Solution Temperature (as mea-
sured by Thermistor RT3), decreased to <136°F (57.7°C)
before a dilution cycle could be performed while the unit
is shutdown on a “Low Refrigerant Temperature” safety
shutdown.
A dilution cycle is not initiated on a “Low Refrigerant
Temp” safety shutdowns until the refrigerant tempera-
ture (as sensed by Thermistor RT8), increases to 37°F
(2.7°C). However, if the Strong Solution Temperature has
decreased to <136°F (57.7°C) before this happens, a
dilution cycle is not initiated because crystallization might
have occurred during the shutdown. This message ad-
vises the operator to check for crystallization prior to
starting the unit.
