What to do if I see HEr High Temperature Error on my Z GRILLS 7002B?
    • C
      Cody ColemanAug 4, 2025
If you are experiencing an HEr High Temperature Error on your Z GRILLS Grill, there may be too many pellets in the fire pot because the grill lid was open for too long. To resolve this: * Switch the grill OFF and turn the Controller Dial to Shut Down. * Immediately turn the power switch back ON, open the lid, and set to Smoke. * Wait until you hear a “roaring” sound, then close the lid and set to the desired temperature. Also, avoid opening the lid longer than needed while cooking. If the issue persists, check the temperature sensor connection, and if problems continue, contact Z Grills customer support for a replacement temperature sensor.

How to fix Z GRILLS 7002B Grill not turning on?
    • N
      nmartinAug 9, 2025
If your Z GRILLS Grill isn't turning on and the controller display is blank, with no fan or auger noises, first check the power supply to the grill, ensuring it meets the standard residential requirement of 10Amp 240V AC. If you're using a portable power supply, make sure it provides a minimum of 400Watt power at 240V AC. Also, check that all wiring plugs are tightly connected. If the power supply is confirmed but the controller LCD display is still not lighting up, the controller may be faulty and need replacement. Contact Z Grills customer service to get a replacement controller.

What to do if my Z GRILLS 7002B Grill shows LEr error?
    • S
      Susan RamosAug 15, 2025
If your Z GRILLS Grill displays an LEr error, has no smoke, or the fire goes out, it could be due to several reasons. First, check that there are pellets in the hopper and that they are being delivered to the fire-pot while the auger is slowly turning. Also, ensure that the Initial Startup procedure has been completed to prime the auger feed tube with pellets. If there are lots of unburnt pellets in the fire-pot, moist pellets may be the problem. Clean out all existing pellets and replace them with clean, dry pellets. Too much ash can also smother the fire; clean the ash from the fire-pot.

Why is my Z GRILLS 7002B auger noisy?
    • W
      Wanda DavisAug 30, 2025
Occasional clunking and squeaking sounds from the auger in your Z GRILLS Grill are normal, and are due to the auger breaking through longer pellets. Try using shorter pellets to reduce the noise.

Why is the temperature incorrect on my Z GRILLS 7002B Grill?
    • J
      jessicajohnsonSep 12, 2025
If the temperature on your Z GRILLS Grill is incorrect, start by cleaning the Grill Temperature Sensor to ensure accurate readings. If the temperature is consistently different from the setting, the controller or temperature sensor may be faulty. Compare the grill probe temperature to a food probe located next to the grill temperature sensor. If the grill temperature consistently shows a higher or lower temperature (e.g., always 20°C higher), it is most likely a faulty temperature sensor. Vacuum out the fire-pot after each 5kg of pellet usage. During hot weather, the grill may exceed the set temperature; place the grill in a shaded area or open the lid to allow the temperature to drop. Avoid opening the lid too often or for too long, as this can cause larger temperature swings.

Why is there smoke coming from the hopper of my Z GRILLS 7002B Grill?
    • J
      Jasmine ChanNov 23, 2025
If you notice lots of smoke appearing from the pellets in the hopper of your Z GRILLS Grill (excluding tiny amounts in windy conditions), it could be due to wood dust in the auger tube and hopper, high-temperature operation with the lid often open, high-temperature operation in windy conditions, or directly turning from high temperature to shut down. Open the grill and hopper lids, and turn the controller dial to the Smoke setting with the power on. If the smoke stops after 10 minutes, turn the grill to shut down or back to the desired temperature. If the smoke continues, remove all pellets from the hopper down to the auger, run the controller on High until all pellets have cleared from the auger tube, and then turn the unit to Shut Down. Clean the grill by vacuuming out all pellets, dust,...
