Install the New Platen Assembly
1. Slide one platen bearing and the platen gear (p/n BA18542-1) onto the long end
of the platen until it locks into place. Slide the other platen bearing onto the
opposite end of the platen.
2. Rotate the platen bearings so the plastic tabs are facing out towards the front
of the printer.
3. Slide the platen bearings into slots in the Media Cover and rotate the plastic
tabs downward to lock in place. The platen gear should be on the right side in
this orientation.
4. Ensure that the platen assembly spins freely after install.
3. Slide platen assembly out of the slots in the Media Cover.
