A locally disturbed tear film changes the scattering properties of the
cornea considerably. For this reason, the optical section of the cornea
may become irregular.
Let the patient close and open their eyes several times to replenish the
tear film on the cornea. Release the measurement immediately afterĆ
wards or use a tear supplement to prevent quick tear breakup time.
